"Lots of ripeness to this, but it is never over the top with the dried redcurrants, plum compote, dried nutmeg, cedar, tar, treacle and some tobacco. Full body, succulent and structured tannins and a long finish. Drink in 2020."

"The Asili vineyard is known for its elegance and fine structure. You get both of these qualities in this wine, and ultimately, the vineyard plays an important role in giving it such a unique personality. The 2015 Barbaresco Asili is shapely and open. The wine is accessible and bright, boasting an immediate quality of primary fruit. It's not always easy to achieve these results in such a hot vintage. Some 4,500 bottles were made."
