"50% whole bunch, average age 40 years, old vines needed picking first. 25% new wood, 13.2% alcohol. Almost black with purple rim. The fruit comes across as more noble than the already delicious Bonnes Mares. The stem profile just adds a liveliness, not its own flavour. This is really beautiful on the palate, just the right acidity, waves of fruit keep rolling across the palate, a little touch of orange peel, no reason why this should not become a really great bottle of Amoureuses."

"The 2020 Chambolle-Musigny Les Amoureuses 1er Cru comes from 80-years old vines that was harvest over five morning, one hour each day and vinified in the same vat of course. Blended with 50% whole bunch and matured in 25% new oak, it has a well-defined bouquet with rose petals, red berry fruit, just a very faint hints of menthol in the far distance. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grain tannins, fresh and vibrant, lightly spiced towards the finish that feels linear and strict. This Amoureuses does not want to give too much away at the moment but the length in the mouth cannot be denied and augurs well for the future."
