Bass Phillip Gewurztraminer 2021 is a white wine produced in Gippsland, Australia. Crafted using 100% Gewurztraminer grapes from the winery's estate vineyards, the grapes are hand-picked and fermented in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged in 500L French oak barrels for 6 months, imparting a deep golden hue. Aromas of rose petals, lychee, and ginger lead to a rich, full-bodied palate of apricot, peach, and honeydew melon, all balanced by good acidity and a long finish. This versatile wine can be enjoyed on its own or with food, and is suitable for cellaring for up to four years. An ideal match for Asian dishes, spicy food, and cheeses.
"It’s fabulous to be the pinot noir King and make lovely gewürztraminer on the side. It’s even better when the tradition continues. As fragrant as a spring garden with roses, frangipani then musk, lychees and ginger flower chime in. The palate is a delight: textural, rich yet tempered by juicy acidity, a slip of phenolics and while it finishes dry, the upfront fruit leaves a sweet impression."

"Light, bright yellow hue with distinctive gewürz aromas of lychee, Turkish Delight and tropical flowers, pure and clean and refined. It is intense and fills the mouth, and has the richness and unctuous density of the variety without being overpowering. It retains freshness and balance and is light on its feet. Clean, dry and resonant finish—thanks to a little alcohol wamth."
