"Les Pruliers can often be a bit of a grumpy adolescent at this point in its evolution, but this is emphatically not the case with the Gouges family’s 2021 version, as this wine is already defined by the inherent elegance of the vintage. The nose delivers a fine mix of cassis, dark berries, saddle leather, bonfire, espresso, grilled venison, dark soil tones, some of those beautiful Chartreuse-like botanicals, a nice touch of oak and a topnote of currant leaf. On the palate the wine is deep, full[1]bodied and pure, with a superb core, ripe, chewy tannins, fine balance and a long, focused and nascently complex finish. This will be stellar juice in the fullness of time. 2036-2100."
