A generous yet fresh Puglian red showing deep ruby colour, ripe blackberry, dark cherry, plum, liquorice, dried herbs and a touch of spice. The palate is medium-bodied and fruit-driven, with smooth tannins, lively acidity and the classic gently bitter savoury finish typical of Negroamaro, making it very versatile at the table. Best with tomato-based pasta, grilled sausages, roast pork, beef, lamb, eggplant parmigiana, pizza, salumi and semi-hard cheeses.
