Despite its vast size and production, the Chablis region now only accounts for less than 5% of its former output a century ago. The lower yields and improved viticulture practices have cemented this wine as a consistent favorite. "Les Clos" is situated facing south-east to south-west and is the largest Grand Cru in Chablis. Known as the king of the Grands Crus appellation, it is a decadent and complex wine that is best aged. The "Les Clos" 2022 vintage boasts a pale yellow hue with green highlights. On the nose, hints of almond paste and yellow peach can be detected. The palate is rich and rounded, showcasing flavors of vanilla and brioche and finishing with a mineral and salty edge. Perfectly paired with oysters, fish, shellfish, and goat cheese.
