From a gently sloping, biodynamically farmed vineyard just east of The Elms, Calvert is celebrated for producing one of Felton Road’s most floral, finely textured and harmonious Pinot Noirs.
Fragrant aromas of strawberry, red cherry and raspberry mingle with violet, rose petal, dried herbs and exotic spice. The palate is generous yet elegant, carrying pure red fruit across polished tannins and a fine spine of acidity. Subtle notes of black tea, earthy minerals and cedar add complexity, building towards a long, poised finish. This is already inviting, but possesses the balance and structure to age beautifully.
Pair with roast duck, grilled lamb, five-spice pork, soy-glazed salmon, mushroom risotto or truffle dishes.
Drink now–2037. Decant for 45–60 minutes if serving presently.
