Based on the 2020 vintage, Cuvée 748 draws fruit from some of Champagne’s most prized villages, including Aÿ, Dizy, Hautvillers, Champillon, Avize and Oiry. Chardonnay takes the lead, supported by Pinot Noir and Meunier, giving a Champagne of freshness, poise and beautifully layered complexity.
In the glass, Cuvée 748 shows notes of dried pear, citrus zest, grapefruit, wild berries, chamomile, crushed flowers, brioche, salted nuts, ginger and subtle spice. The palate is dry, energetic and finely structured, with bright acidity, tight bubbles, elegant fruit, savoury depth and a long, mineral finish. It is already expressive and approachable, yet has the structure to develop further in bottle.
A superb Champagne for the table. Pair with fresh oysters, sashimi, sushi, scallops, crab, lobster, tempura prawns, grilled white fish, roast chicken, mushroom risotto, Comté, aged Gouda or lightly spiced Asian seafood dishes. Its Extra Brut precision and mineral freshness make it especially versatile with both seafood and richer savoury dishes.
We are pleased to offer a limited parcel of Champagne Jacquesson Cuvée 748 at a very attractive price. Available while stocks last.
