Created from 11 Grand and Premier Cru villages, La Grande Année 2015 captures the richness of this sunny vintage while retaining Bollinger’s characteristic structure, freshness and complexity. Golden in colour, with an expressive bouquet of Mirabelle plum, pear, ripe peach and mango, followed by blackberry, raspberry, honey, toasted almond and delicate smoky oak.The palate is broad, creamy and generously textured, revealing layers of stone fruit, toasted hazelnut, brioche and citrus preserve. Fine acidity and a subtle chalky, saline character bring balance, leading to a long finish of bitter orange, spice and dark chocolate.Already wonderfully expressive, this is a deeply vinous Champagne that will continue to develop beautifully with further cellaring.
