"The 2018 Syrah (96% Syrah and 2% each of Petite Sirah and Viognier) boasts a deep ruby hue as well as medium-bodied aromas and flavors of red and black fruits, ground pepper, grilled meats, and plenty of sappy herb/underbrush nuances. I don’t think it matches the 2018, but there’s no question it’s an outstanding, beautiful Syrah well worth seeking out."

"All of the Paring wines are terrific, but the 2018 Syrah is extra terrific. Essentially a blend made from all Jonata estate fruit, the Syrah offers tremendous varietal character in its dark fruit, black pepper and pungent, savory top notes. The brisk acids of a cool, late harvest add raciness and class. What a wine!"
