Passion and dedication drive the creation of Krug Grande Cuvée. Since 1843, the House of Krug has been committed to crafting the finest Champagne every year, regardless of climate variations. Each new edition of Krug Grande Cuvée is a testament to the vision of Joseph Krug, who believed in offering only the very best. Unlike other Maison's, Krug carefully selects the wines for their non-vintage blend in the spring following the harvest. With great attention to detail, they choose the elements to keep from the last harvest for their reserves, and make the decision on whether to create a vintage from that year. In exceptional years like 2012, Krug's reserve program takes precedence over producing a Krug 2012 vintage.

Indulge in the luxurious and exquisite taste of Krug Grande Cuvée 172nd Edition, a masterful blend of 146 unique wines from 11 different years. From a youthful 2016 vintage to a classic 1998, this composition impresses with 44% Pinot Noir, 36% Chardonnay, and 20% Meunier. With 42% of the final blend incorporating carefully selected reserve wines from their extensive library, this Edition has been aged for approximately seven years in Krug's cellars, resulting in a truly remarkable expression of elegance.

"Beautiful notes of dried citrus fruit, lemon curd and dried apples with hints of spices, dried flowers and subtle brioche. I like the polished and caressing texture and steady, refreshing acidity. It’s fresh and even austere, with notes of ground spices. So vertical and firm. Structured and long. Drink or hold."
