Named in honour of Elvie Alice Clarke, mother of Kevin John Cullen, this wine showcases the purity and vibrancy of fruit from the Mangan Vineyard. It combines 58% Sauvignon Blanc, 35% Semillon and 7% Verdelho, all dry-grown, hand-harvested, and naturally fermented with no oak influence, allowing the site’s character to shine through. The 2024 vintage, marked by warm, dry conditions, yields a wine with bright citrus and floral aromatics, lively acidity, and layered complexity, making it both refreshing and expressive.
"Another new wine, or perhaps a new name for an old wine, as fruit comes off the Mangan vineyard. Formerly this SBS was named after that property, now it’s Elvie Clarke, Kevin John Cullen’s mother. It’s still a three-way split between 58/35/7% sauvignon blanc/semillon/verdelho. It’s a delightful drink. Nothing overt or harsh; there’s texture, talc-like acidity, refreshment aplenty and a lovely energy within. On a warm day, as warm as the ’24 vintage, this turns out super refreshing and delicious."

"Previously the Mangan Vineyard bottling, this is now named Elvie Clarke, after the winemaker’s grandmother. Aromas of lemon peel, lime leaves, apple blossoms and sliced pears. The midweight palate is textural and mineral with a structured, refined finish. Sauvignon blanc, semillon and verdelho. Delicious. Screw cap. Drink now."
