Pre-arrival. Stocks expected to land forth week of December 2025
"Dark minerals, graphite and lifted blue flowers and blue fruit. Almost stemmy and a bit peppery, with firm tannins that give tension. On the palate, this is quite concentrated, with a medium to full body and a well-structured finish that goes on and on. Quite youthful. A blend of merlot, cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc and syrah. Drink or hold"

"The 2021 Hu Yue is a blend of 42% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Merlot, 19% Cabernet Franc and 15% Syrah, the lower proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon compared with previous vintages reflecting, in part, the overall cooler vintage conditions for Long Dai in 2021, although a dry and warm spell of weather through June and July did ensure more even flowering and positive grape berry development. That said, wetter conditions in September and October led the Long Dai team to pick earlier, with rigorous selection applied to its 547 terraces spread over some 38 hectares of vineyard."
