Les Vignes de Vrigny is a distinctive Premier Cru Extra Brut produced entirely from old-vine Pinot Meunier grown on chalk-rich soils in Vrigny. Fermented with indigenous yeasts and matured in stainless steel, it spends around three years on its lees and is finished with a very low dosage of approximately 1–3 grams per litre, preserving its purity, freshness and distinctly dry character.
Aromas of ripe pear, golden apple, dried raspberry and citrus peel mingle with rye bread, hazelnut and subtle spice. Generous yet precise, the palate combines fine bubbles and refreshing acidity with a savoury, chalky and saline finish. It pairs beautifully with charcuterie, roast poultry, pork, duck, mushroom dishes, dim sum, Peking duck and fried seafood.
With its rare 100% Pinot Meunier composition and unmistakable Egly-Ouriet craftsmanship, Les Vignes de Vrigny offers greater individuality and depth than Les Prémices while remaining approachable upon release.
