This marks the fifth release in collaboration with the family-owned Champagne Thiénot. It follows the single-vineyard Grand Cru 2012, 2013, and 2014 Blanc de Blancs and Blanc de Noirs, the 2012 Chardonnay Pinot Noir, and the Non-Vintage Rosé Champagne.
The Champagnes are a result of a partnership between Peter Gago and Champagne Thiénot's Managing Director, Stanislas Thiénot, along with Chef de Cave, Nicolas Uriel. Through years of working together in vineyards, wineries, and Classification tastings, they have continually refined their shared goals for style and quality.
The cuvee displays a clear straw with delicate fine mousse. The nose reveals a blend of white petals, lily, chamomile, and seringat greet you first. A fine mousse releases more scents like Mexican orange and Yuzu citrus. Roasted nuts, vanilla, and custard-apple linger in the empty glass. It balances fresh and forward aromas with delicate and assured notes.
This blend boasts flavours reminiscent of freshly baked Tarte au Citron meringuée, with subtle hints of raspberry pastille, nougat, and vanilla bean. Its lively, tingling acidity enhances assorted sherberts, while clean, pure citrus notes dance on the palate without bitterness. The result is a gentle, ethereal experience with no rough edges—complete and assured.
