Crafted from Grands Crus in Ay, Cuvée 1522 vintage 2016 by PHILIPPONNAT is a grandiose champagne with a concentration of 70% Pinot Noir Grands Crus and 30% Chardonnay Grands Crus. For added complexity, it's partially vinified in wood cask and retains its freshness without malolactic fermentation. Boasting a fresh, precise nose with sweet almond and candied lemon peel notes, the palate reveals a pure, spicy flavor characteristic of the Ay terroir. Its chalky texture and mineral finish are enhanced by a dosage of 4.25g/l in this extra-brut champagne.
