"Made in a similar fashion to its 4 Acres sibling, albeit from the sandy flats that spawned Johnno's Semillon, and was matured in a new 2500l French cask. Great colour; the marriage of ancient vine grapes and new oak is so seamless it glides along the palate, leaving the mouth fresh and thirsting for more. 290 dozen made"

"An excellent Johnno’s. These plantings date back to 1908 and they have delivered an absolute beauty from 2017. The fruit tones show red to darker nuances, and the spice uptake is strong here. Some meaty notes, too. The tannins are luxuriant, clasping the smoothly fleshy fruit with energy and verve. Vibrant and convincing, this needs some time before opening. Try after 2025."
