"A big, rich, deeply flavoursome red, which is fully ripe and shows none of the leafy herbal notes of cabernet – but then, that is typical Moss Wood. It is full-bodied, dense and rich, with abundant supple tannins and marvellous balance. We tasted a screw-capped bottle alongside a cork-sealed bottle and there was little difference of real consequence. A superb wine, starting to mature but with years ahead of it. Drink 2018~2030 (7/2018)"

"Bright crimson with a pale rim. A very delicate touch – some ‘mineral’ notes and lots of lift. Is this due to the Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc? I actually wondered about Merlot but perhaps only because the label reminds me of Pichon Lalande! Very smooth, well-worked tannins. Hint of saltiness on the end. Much more approachable than the Cullen Diana Madeline 2004. Drink 2010~2027. (12/2017)"
