"Not the easiest of vintages – cool, wet and lower yields – yet this wine is easy to get into and enjoy, so in context, bravo. It’s beautifully aromatic with cherries, wood smoke, a hint of meaty reduction, loads of baking spices and the oak is well integrated. It’s lighter framed, juicy with tangy acidity yet the tannins are finely tuned and persuasive. Drinking well now and may prove to unfurl and garner more complexity in time, if you can wait."

"Aromatic, lifted, wild strawberry, sap, spice, pot-pourri, briary and woodsy—really evocative. Elegant, long, textured and layered. Red cherry, redcurrant, a touch of sap and cola. The acid has brightness and the tannins are supple and shapely"
