The deft winemaking team at this Gaja-owned Tuscan estate is well equipped to counter extreme weather, either too hot or humid. The Magari (a blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot) offers pretty floral tones, rose and fresh blackcurrant with toast and cherry pie crust. The condition of the fruit is clearly excellent, and the oak spice is carefully dosed and integrated throughout the wine's softly creamy texture."
