This is surely one of the quirkiest blends around. Its backbone of Cabernet Sauvignon, with a small dash of Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc, echoes a classical Bordeaux. But its peppering of Tannat, Pinot Noir and a string of rare varieties set this wine apart. There's impressive concentration of fruit here, with notes of tapenade and garrigue herbs. There's excellent freshness, too, with precision and silky tannins. Excellent length completes an amazing wine from the Grand Cru of the Languedoc.Perfect with complex dishes, red meat, game (especially venison and wild-boar) and cheeses.Need to be decanted a long time in advance (at least 3 to 4 hours before serving)
