Blended from two parcels a bit lower on the slope, but still in sight of the Saône. The early-ripening site delivered fruit with up to 13.5% potential alcohol and a pH around 3.20 – eminently correct. The wine is fermented in large, upright oak casks on native yeasts and delivers ripe apple fruit and a hint of spice. Rich and approachable, this is made for early drinking. " The 2019 Mâcon-Uchizy Les Maranches wafts from the glass with aromas of musky peach, citrus fruit, white flowers and pear. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and enveloping, it's bright but gourmand, concluding with a long, saline finish."
