"Deep red colour with a tinge of purple in the rim. The bouquet is reserved and shy, with a note of blackberry jam, its sweetness on the bouquet turning very drying in the mouth thanks to pervasive tannins. There's a hint of leafiness and the wine is linear and sinewy, long and slightly chewy in its aftertaste. There is undoubted concentration here but it's young and firm with a slight tannic bitterness, and needs a bit more time to mellow."
