"Assembled from a mosaic of suppliers in Vosne, this shows a wonderfully ripe, black plum fruit aroma, with a spicy edge and a hint of minerality. The texture is fresh and slightly grippy, yet this is still engaging and approachable. The wine comes by its concentration naturally and is not ennobled by declassifying higher appellations. An impressive effort at the village level. Drinking Window 2021 - 2029."

"A slightly more deeply pitched and markedly spicier nose features notes of red currant, dark cherry and a plethora of exotic tea nuances that include jasmine and pekoe among others. Once again, the mouthfeel is attractively sleek and refined with good verve suffusing the detailed and lightly minerally flavors that also conclude in a lingering and dusty bitter fruit pit-infected finish. This firm effort is very Vosne in style."
