"Clear, smooth and sapid, the fruit is well-rounded, ripe and fresh with a savoury and pronounced salinity that betrays the Gamay component (of which there is always less than a quarter in the blend). The richness and depth here is surprising for this level of wine, whilst Gamay’s saltiness adds bite to the ripe juicy fruit. A Passetoutgrain of tremendous class. A blend of a maximum 25% Gamay and 75% Pinot Noir aged in used oak barrels only."
